In 2023, Pendle and Craven, Ben Rhydding, Bishop Monkton and Ripon Spa croquet clubs decided to play in a league of their own. It was known as The Cross Pennine league. Following representations by some players in the league, Pendle and Craven joined the Yorkshire Croquet Federation (YCF). The future of this league and of the YCF level play league was decided at the YCF general meeting on 30th April.
The results of the following matches between the four clubs, played in the YCF level play league, will determine the winner of the Cross Pennine trophy .
Bishop Monkton won the trophy this year, with an impressive 5 points out of 6 and 22 games won.
